What We Do
PABS supports the Bayside Schools in many different ways — from fundraising and school activities to pupil insurance, volunteering and representing the parent community.
Supporting school life
We help support activities and experiences for children and families across both schools. Over the years these have included Santa visits, book fairs, BaySciFest, school graduations and other activities that add to school life.
PABS has also supported activities such as welcome events for new Junior Infant parents and refreshments around important school occasions.
Fundraising
PABS raises funds to help enhance the children’s learning environment, support school activities and broaden the range of experiences available to pupils.
Previous fundraising has helped fund improvements including benches in the school yards, development of the school gardens and resources for sensory rooms.
Pupil insurance
PABS organises the pupil personal accident insurance scheme for the Bayside Schools.
Parents can register and pay through our dedicated Pupil Insurance website.
Working with the schools
PABS works with the principals, staff and Boards of Management to strengthen the partnership between parents and the schools. The Parents Association can also provide a parent perspective when relevant school policies are being developed or reviewed.
Volunteer with PABS
There is no need to make a regular commitment. You might help at one event, join in with fundraising, help organise an activity or simply volunteer when it suits you.
